In preparation for the NC Amateur Qualifier, I continued the grind with the flatsitck.
If I want to have a chance at qualifying, I need to constantly be practicing putting.
Today, I practiced nothing but 4, 5 and 6 footers at 5 locations around a hole. I had to make 25 in a row before moving on to the next distance. The 4 footers weren't tough – I nailed them on the first go around, but 5 and 6 footers were a bit tougher. I managed to finish it all, but it did take me almost an hour and half.
I then continued to hit 4 and 5 irons on the range, and I improved in accuracy and striking. I was 6 out of 10 for both clubs!
I will continue the grind tomorrow and work to improve weak areas of my game to give me the best chance at scoring well next Thursday.
